Say.
[Generally when Fuji starts off with a phrase like that, coupled with that particular glint in his eyes, those who know him well enough give him a wide berth and try not to maintain eye-contact for too long. He's currently seated in the Mahogany pokemon center, looking cheerful and attentive, which generally means that he's bored as hell and gods forbid you attract his attention in any way.
But people don't know that. Yet. He tilts his head, and goes on, whimsically.]
People still celebrate their birthdays here, don't they? If you've arrived as an eighteen-year-old, and some time passes and your birthday rolls around, it's natural to want to celebrate it -- especially with the friendships that spring up over time.
On the other hand, I've heard from the grapevine that when you return to your own world, you're dropped off at the exact same point as when you've left.
[Consideration!]
If an eighteen-year-old celebrates his nineteenth birthday here, would that make that hypothetical person both eighteen and nineteen at the same time?
[That smile is wry. So very wry.]
In other news, I've recently heard of a tree that punches people.
Out of curiosity, how well does it dance?

What do you know about going home, anyway?
That sort of thing tends to generate information.
I suppose so. So, it's random? People just get...picked up and sent off?
Getting dragged back is just as arbitrary, apparently. Though generally, those that come back arrive with new memories of their original worlds. Interesting, isn't it?
[Hm.] Out of curiosity, how did you arrive?
[ Erm. ] I don't think I could tell you; I don't know how I got here. I was dreaming...and then I woke up here.
How do you know that this isn't just an elaborate dream for you, then?
