Say.
[Generally when Fuji starts off with a phrase like that, coupled with that particular glint in his eyes, those who know him well enough give him a wide berth and try not to maintain eye-contact for too long. He's currently seated in the Mahogany pokemon center, looking cheerful and attentive, which generally means that he's bored as hell and gods forbid you attract his attention in any way.
But people don't know that. Yet. He tilts his head, and goes on, whimsically.]
People still celebrate their birthdays here, don't they? If you've arrived as an eighteen-year-old, and some time passes and your birthday rolls around, it's natural to want to celebrate it -- especially with the friendships that spring up over time.
On the other hand, I've heard from the grapevine that when you return to your own world, you're dropped off at the exact same point as when you've left.
[Consideration!]
If an eighteen-year-old celebrates his nineteenth birthday here, would that make that hypothetical person both eighteen and nineteen at the same time?
[That smile is wry. So very wry.]
In other news, I've recently heard of a tree that punches people.
Out of curiosity, how well does it dance?

It just means that you need to do whatever it takes to keep that promise, right?
no subject
I have to. To keep that promise, as well as to make sure I don't fail my father.
no subject
Sounds like you've made that decision.

But.... I just wonder, if it would be right to leave behind someone who needs me now, here.
no subject
But a better question might be, 'which do you need more?', wouldn't you say?

[He can't need a dead father over his living friend, now, can he?]

You're putting the needs of your friends before your own needs, aren't you.

But my father's death affects a lot more people than just us, and I can't let the killer continue with his ways. I have to stop him.

[Wistful shrug.] But in the end, it's really up to you.

Well, you know best.

I'll be back, with a bloated ego, and tell you about any victories.

Be sure to bring back some interesting stories.
