[The first thing you should notice is that he is wearing something gold, tacky and very, very frilly. If you tilt your head and squint sideways, you might be able to make out the tell-tale black stripes across the back of jacket. In all honesty, it looks like a very, very artistic and frilly rendition of a pikachu sans tail. In fact, that might explain the two red circles on his cheeks, painted on delicately. There is a Misdreavus threading through his hair carefully, picking her way across his brown strands and two yellow and black hair clips that stand up in a manner reminiscent of a pikachu's ears and a trapinch that's more or less consuming his boot right off of his foot. He pays them no mind, as per usual.

He appears to be collapsed on the bed, gear propped up between his hands as he huffs into the screen, poking at something with a finger. From the vantage point of the camera, it appears to be small, hand-held calendar.]

It looks like my birthday won't be coming this year either.

[Somewhat wry. He isn't disappointed, but he's in one of those pensive moods. Tilting his head so that it rests on an arm, he blinks, slowly.]

I have an hour to kill before the great reveal, at any rate. Anyone up for a rousing game of word association?

That looks like a good day, Rose. We'll call that day 'Ryner's Day', in honor of his unbirthday. How does that sound?

["Fairy!!" She really really likes that name for it! Ryner's Day it is, then. ^^]

[Having now recovered, Ryner storms grumpily back to the desk and grabs the calendar from Rose's hand.

Rose doesn't stop smiling, though. In fact, her smile is one of triumph, because there's no erasing the circle she made - that was permanent ink, dear partner~]

Are you really going to say that so loudly? Rose might hear, you know?

[Have a look of amusement, Ryner.] At any rate, looks like it's been decided.

Congratulations on your unbirthday, Ryner.

[He just freezes, speechless, for a few seconds, a couple of half-sounds making it out as though he's trying to say something but no part of him has any clue what. Eventually, however, he gives up, shakes his head to clear it, and shrugs his shoulders with a sigh.]

This is really really bothersome, you know... Fine, if it's that important to you, then call it that. [He sits back down in his chair and leans backward a little.] It's not like there's anything worth celebrating, though.

[He tries not to react when Rose then throws the pen at his forehead, but a wince does make it through.]

[... he pauses for a moment, then laughs, lightly, in a humourless sort of way.]

Yes, well, it might be troublesome for you, but I'm sure there's someone out there that wants to celebrate that day.

[A glance over to the Clefairy.] To Rose, that day must be a very important day. Important enough for her to throw pens over it. I think we can respect that, at the very least, right?

[Ryner looks up at the ceiling and lets out a sigh.]

Ah, fine, whatever. It's turning out to be really troublesome to argue about this, anyway...

And it will probably get more troublesome, if you push it. Let's just leave it at this.

Besides, Rose looks happy.

[He glances at Rose, who looks back at him with the most innocent smile ever. He -almost- responds that he doesn't get why she's so happy about it, but... yeah, dealing with her attacking him more over this would be too bothersome. (He's learning!)]

...I guess so, yeah.

["Fairy!" Even bigger smile. That wasn't so hard, was it, dear partner?~]
